Sometimes discouragement can set into our lives so very quickly! It's often unexpected and unplanned, and we don't even realize it until it's upon us!! We hunt and fish and do what we do and every I have a bow in my hand or whatever the case may be, I expect to see the biggest buck I've ever seen in my life! Or if I'm fishing I am expecting to catch that elusive 25 incher!! You know what I mean right?? Why is it then that as we go through life we get depressed when the boss calls us into his office or the sale didn't go your way? Shouldn't we give God glory in all situations? We are too quick to allow the enemy a foothold!!
As I sit in the treestand with good friend Steven Mac, I think about the gate this morning! The one that is never locked that he didn't bring his key for! We were ready to go, but there was an obstacle in our way. We could have gone home and got back into bed! Did we do that? Absolutely not, we could have the big one come by our stand at any moment, and we have to be ready!! God promises to prosper us and not to harm us! Live according to His purposes and plans for your life and you can't go wrong no matter what the devil throws at you! Be strong in the Lord and fight the good fight of faith!!
