Well, the season is right around the corner! I am so excited for the start of this one. The great thing about the bow season is the sense of peace that I feel when I can escape to my tree stand for an afternoon sit. God gives us moments in our our lives that we can sit in His presence and trust Him for all of our needs. Matthew 11:28 says this: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We have to stop trying to figure this all out on our own because it is God that gives us the rest that we need. For me... I receive when I am in the serenity of the woods. The light breeze blowing in my face and the cool fall air in the morning. The crunch of leaves behind me and the exhilaration of shooting a deer with a bow and arrow! These are the things that really get me in a peaceful state of mind.
Once again I will do my best to be writing through this deer season. I will even be writing directly from the tree stand and posting live while sitting in the woods! Team Greene Outdoors is super excited about this deer season and we are trusting God because He is so much greater than we are!
This life is certainly about something greater than ourselves. We realize, recognize and relinquish control over to Him. The author and perfecter of our faith!
